Jaanimmarik School

To the beach !

 

What a beautiful way to start the new school year by going to the beach ! And this is exactely the activity that we did last Friday, on August 19th. The weather was great ! You can see the photos by clicking here.

Prom 2016

The ceremonies of the graduation were followed by a dinner at the Auberge Kuujjuaq Inn. Then the graduates celebrated with their family and friends in the school gym. All the Jaanimmarik school staff wish a bright future to everyone of these worthy students. To see the photos, please click here.

Graduation 2016

On June 13th 2016, eleven students graduated at Jaanimmarik school. These proud students are: Charlie Hobloo, Christine Koneak-Gordon, Joanna Cooper Barrett, Kayla Lauzon, Kevin Tukkiapik, Naomi Sala, Samwillie Peters, Selena Watt, Stanley Cain-Peters, Taamusi Saunders and Velisie Cain. Music concert June 2016

Kuujjuaq community enjoyed Jaanimmarik Music Concert on June 6th, at the Town Hall.

Under the direction of Jacob Bryce, our music teacher, the classes performed and even some teachers demonstrated their musical talents.

Secondary Awards 2016

On May 27, our secondary students received awards in recognition of their efforts,improvement, good results,  positive attitude and best attendance. An important event where the parents were invited. Mr. Jim Tabor, from Northern Store, gave two prices to students for their particuliar achievement. Mr. Willis Tagoona, our school representative to the Education Council, challenged and encouraged everyone to find what they are good at and to become the best they can be.  Please, have a look to the photos.
